KITE API V3: Exit From Position

How to exit from position by using Kite class function ?

I know to cancel the order by Order Id, $kite->cancelOrder($variety, $order_id);

Now, need to exit from the position.

Is this for bracket order, cover order or regular order?

You need to place an opposite transaction type market order for the same instrument to close a position.
