Hi, As per the Nifty MidCap 150 index document(https://archives.nseindia.com/content/indices/ind_Nifty_Midcap_150.pdf), the index was launched in April, 2016. However, on kite web and historical_data api, I see the index ohlc data before that as well. Please let know how is that computed.
If that's computed indirectly via extrapolation etc, plz help with list of stocks considered as part of Midcap 150 index prior to 2017 as the list is not available in NSE archive as well.

Nifty Midcap 150 Index has data since base year i.e 01.04.2005. Same is mentioned on linked pdf and same candle data since 01.04.2005 can be refered on NSE indices charting page here. Screenshot for reference
