There are three NICKEL contracts that are expiring on the same date -

NICKELAUG21OCT21FUT, NICKEL, 2021-08-31
NICKEL21AUGFUT, NICKEL, 2021-08-31
NICKELAUG21SEP21FUT, NICKEL, 2021-08-31

What is the difference between these and secondly which one to use in our codes?

    Both are spread contracts. Kite Connect doesn't support placing the order on spread contracts. You can filter such contracts out.

    Any suggestion how to filter them out?

    Maybe you can check for 2 month format MMM(Month) i.e AUGSEP in the contract and filter out such contracts.
