I have been trying to place basket orders with kite publisher. I am able to place orders everyday. But Today morning when I tried placing orders during pre-market hours, I got this error "TOTP is mandatory to place orders on third-party apps. Learn how to set up TOTP for your account [here]
But I have already enabled TOTP and orders were successful in the past. And after wating for sometime, trying again, I was able to place orders after 09:15am. Everyday one or the other issues are there while placing orders with kite publisher basket order tool.
It's since the start, the publisher and API both needed TOTP(all kite connect 3rd party app either API or publisher). You can go through the announcement here.
You can go to kite web and enable totp for second factor authentication.
