Kite API

From Zerodha kite site, UI will make call to certain API at backend. E.g.
Request URL: https://kite.zerodha.com/oms/instruments/historical/XXXXX/15minute?user_id=XXXXXX&oi=1&from=2022-02-15&to=XXXXXX
Can we make use of such API for our own purpose for trading?

    You can use historical data API.

    If you are intending to do this for live market strategy then we suggest you to generate candles at your end using the data from Websocket API.

    @sujith My Question is If we can reuse API which is executed from Kite UI, then We dont need to pay cost for API.

    @SRIJAN Zerodha online twitter handle asked me to check here. I just want to know will it be illegal if I make such use of API?
    My understanding here is Kite and all associated services are owned and operated by Zerodha. How user use them should not violate zerodha terms or devalue IP .
    Correct me if I am wrong anywhere?

    Hey. Scraping isn't allowed. If you're found to be scraping, you'd be using Kite in a manner that it wasn't intended to be and you'd stand in violation of the terms of service.
