How can BANKNIFTY and NIFTY Index values be received real time?

Is there a way in Kite connect to get the OHLC or LTP data for indices such as BANKNIFTY / NIFTY etc. The issue i am facing currently is - on_connect just opens and data is not published for instrument 26000. Please suggest.

You will have to subscribe for data using instrument token. You can check out documentation
