Hi, When I login for the first time, it usually takes me to Kite Connect Web Page where I enter my KITE connect credentials to login and then it all works fine. But wondering if there is a way to login without having to provide Kite Connect Login credentials? So I can directly call the (https://kite.zerodha.com/connect/login?v=3&api_key=) for login.
If you read through the documentation and the pinned FAQ's you would have realised that this is by design.
The exchange mandates that each user needs to log in manually everyday that they are trading. So if a user is allowed to call https://kite.zerodha.com/connect/login?v=3&api_key=XXX without logging in to kite, it will be a violation of the exchange rules.
Yeah but wondering how third party Algo trading Apps wants the user to just click on BROKER LOGIN button and the orders are going thru?They never used to navigate to KITE CONNECT once I click the BROKER LOGIN button. Just curious on this process.
A user has to login at least once manually every day. It is a regulatory requirement. It would have worked that way because Kite web login would have already happened. It is the way Kite web and Kite Connect works. Not sure about other brokers.
