are we getting real time data while fetching current market data using historical api

If I am trying to fetch real time market data for equity or options using historical api, is there any lag or it returns real time data?

we should use
WebSocket
for live quotes,
historical
API is the candle data of OHLC values.

The historical data API is provided for backtesting purpose only. For live market strategies, you need to generate candles at your end using the live market data from Websockets API.
