I assume that exchange token is unique across brokers but i am facing issue with Two instruments

exchange token for Indexes in Zerodha (exchange: "NSE", segment: "INDICES") is not matching with other brokers, where as for all the other instruments that i worked on are coming as same.

NIFTY 50: 1001 (exchange token in Zerodha), 26000 (token id in other brokers like Angel, Fyers)
NIFTY BANK: 1016(exchange token in Zerodha), 26009 (token id in other brokers like Angel, Fyers)

Can please some one point out why this could be ? , Thanks in advance.

P.S: this is source of Zerodha exchange tokens i am referring to https://api.kite.trade/instruments

@sujith @rakeshr , can you please help here as to why the exchange token could be different for Indices in Zerodha. i can fix the issue in code :) but really want to understand what i could be missing. Thanks in advance.

Indices don't have tokens at exchanges, they're strings, so brokers create their own tokens.
