Order type of SL-M order after trigger

If a SL-M order is triggered, it will be released as "MARKET" order, so the order type after trigger should be "MARKET", but the response received is "LIMIT". Even the order book shows the order type as "LIMIT" for triggered SL-M orders. It's same for all SL-M orders.
Are we missing anything?

Have noticed this happening since 18th Aug almost everyday mostly during market open.
Seems like a new mechanism, exchange is converting the Market order to Limit orders.
Any idea what this is @sujith @rakeshr?

AFAIK for few illiquid scrips it is exchange modifying the market order to limit. You can know more here.

But I have asked team to check what happened in the above SL-M case.
