ISIN in GET /instruments API response

Missing ISIN in instruments has been a feature pending for a few years (earliest I could find from 2017: https://kite.trade/forum/discussion/1240/do-you-have-isin-security-of-master-data).

This makes it incredibly hard to build any kind of portfolio management capability due to exchange fungibility in API responses (https://support.zerodha.com/category/trading-and-markets/kite-web-and-mobile/articles/default-exchange-on-kite).

Please provide ISIN in GET /instruments API response and do not close this thread until it is implemented.

    Yes, this data should have been available in the API, but as a workaround, you could use Bhavcopy or other dumps from NSE and BSE. Many of these dumps have both SYMBOL and ISIN specified for each entry.

    @sujith @rakeshr Please respond on ISIN & how to resolve mismatching names of the same stock in NSE & BSE.

    We have plans of providing this but it is getting postponed since it is a breaking change and other high priority tasks came in between. I will ask the team to take a look at this.
