You can use only publisher features which doesn't require api_secret. For Kiteconnect API calls you need to subscribe.

@RP3436 "tag" is an identifier you can give to uniquely identify a particular order or categorizing a set of orders etc. Check out the documentation here.

We don't have API to check how many orders are placed in a particular time interval.
